Full Privacy Policy

Vertis LLC ("Vertis," "we," "our," or "us") provides an adaptive endurance training application designed to help athletes make smarter daily training decisions. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information, as well as your rights and choices.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

a. Account Information

  • • Name
  • • Email address
  • • Authentication credentials (securely hashed and managed)

b. Connected Fitness Data

If you connect third-party services (such as Apple Health or Strava), we may receive:

  • • Workout data (distance, duration, pace, activity type)
  • • Heart rate data
  • • Daily physiological summaries (e.g., HRV, resting heart rate, sleep-related aggregates where available)

You control whether these connections are enabled.

c. Derived and Training Data

We generate:

  • • Training readiness and recovery metrics
  • • Performance scores
  • • Adaptive training plans
  • • AI-generated coaching insights

d. Usage and Device Data

  • • Device and system information
  • • Diagnostics and error logs

2. How We Collect Information

We collect information:

  • • Directly from you (account creation, inputs)
  • • Automatically (app usage, diagnostics)
  • • From third parties (Apple Health, Strava, and other integrations you authorize)

3. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

  • • Provide and personalize training recommendations
  • • Analyze completed workouts and adjust plans
  • • Generate AI coaching insights
  • • Improve performance, reliability, and user experience
  • • Communicate service-related updates

We do not use health or fitness data for advertising.

5. Health and Fitness Data

Certain data (such as heart rate, HRV, and activity data) may be considered sensitive.

Vertis:

  • • Uses this data solely to provide training insights and recommendations
  • • Does not sell health data
  • • Does not use health data for advertising
  • • Does not share health data with third parties except as necessary to provide the service
  • • Apple HealthKit data is handled in accordance with Apple's HealthKit framework guidelines: it is not used for advertising, not sold, not shared with third parties beyond what is necessary to provide Vertis training services, and is processed only with your explicit permission granted via the iOS Health permissions prompt

6. AI Coaching Features

Vertis provides AI-assisted coaching communications and explanatory features. AI may help generate summaries, explanations, safety classifications, chat responses, and proposed actions, but Vertis's deterministic training engine is responsible for core training calculations and plan logic. AI does not autonomously change a user's training plan.

To generate responses:

  • • Selected training data and derived metrics may be sent to third-party AI providers such as Anthropic
  • • We do not intentionally include direct personal identifiers (such as name or email)

AI interactions may be stored to improve your experience and maintain continuity.

Third-party AI providers process data solely to generate responses and do not use submitted data to train their models under applicable API terms.

7. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or share your personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may disclose information:

  • • To service providers (infrastructure, analytics, AI)
  • • To comply with legal obligations
  • • In connection with a business transaction

8. Data Retention

We retain data:

  • • While your account is active
  • • As needed to provide the service
  • • As required by law

If you disconnect integrations, we stop future collection. Previously collected data remains unless you request deletion.

We use appropriate safeguards including:

11. Children's Privacy

Vertis is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18.

If we learn that we have collected information from an individual under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

12. International Data Transfers

Data may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our providers operate.

13. Do Not Track Signals

Vertis does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy and will notify users of material changes.
